Quiet hotel, don't be fooled from the outside, very friendly staff, there are also rooms for guests with dogs, but they have to stay in the room to eat in the hotel. Breakfast is sufficient and good. With a very nice view. Rooms are clean and good, with small fridge and kettle.
The somewhat different hotel. Kudos to the staff and the hotel manager who went above and beyond to make our stay in the Harz as pleasant as possible during these times. Attention to the guest is very important here. We would love to come back and look forward to next year. Many thanks
A little time-out, great PLEASURE ... I have to go there again👍
From the outside, the "hotel" itself is pretty chic. The closer you look, the more you notice. The reception is kept modern. The staff there was a bit overwhelmed at first. The furnishings in the rooms are rather old and simple. The bed we had was saggy and didn't offer any sleeping comfort. If you took a closer look in the corridors, you noticed some torn windows in the stair cladding. On our floor, the light did not go on for 2 days, despite information to the staff. The breakfast is simple and clear, in spite of that, the lady who takes care of everything in the morning is a little ray of hope and understands something of what she does. Dinner is an absolute disaster. Some things couldn't be defined. Other things should have been bought ready-made rather than trying certain "experiments". The staff in the evening was extremely overwhelmed and had no structure in their processes. The bright spot of the hotel is the Panorama Cafe. There was also an employee there who understood his subject. From the gentleman there was a nice and friendly service, the mixed drinks were very good in taste and appearance. Unfortunately, it is only this one gentleman who understands his subject. For other employees, the glasses were moderately full of limes and ice and to save some of the drink which later didn't taste like schnapps at all. We will not visit this hotel again and I recommend everyone to spend a little more money and look for something better!
When you drive up the mountain to the hotel and then see the hotel for the first time, the first impression is really a bit scary. You are directly afraid of what kind of dump you have ended up in, but fortunately this first impression is not confirmed inside the hotel. The lobby and dining room have been redone. These are really very cozy and inviting. Of course, the rooms can't keep up because they still have the 90s look. However, everything was really very clean and in order. You shouldn't forget that this is a three star hotel. The balcony is really nice and big and invites you to sit down. From the dining room you have a wonderful view of the valley. The staff was really very friendly and the breakfast buffet was perfectly adequate. Here you had a down-to-earth selection of everything that belongs to a decent breakfast.
Great location, great terrace with bar. Excellent view.
Well, not really a highlight. Front desk not exactly happy when guests come, very loveless breakfast little choice, hard rolls. Unfriendly staff or doesn't understand German. The whole thing is reminiscent of a holiday home like in a school camp. Can only be recommended if you have no entitlement or need.
Very friendly staff. Personal conversations and plausibly explained measures affecting Corona. Yes, the fitness room was closed, the sauna. No buffet but three breakfast menus to choose from. Unfortunately, the staff was understaffed and overwhelmed. Two people in the breakfast room. They had to disinfect, clear and tidy the tables. Place the guests individually and take the orders. That couldn't be done and caused waiting times that made the corona situation unnecessarily exhausting. We actually got baked rolls from the day before, which was a shame and clouded the otherwise pleasant impression. Sure, the hallways are reminiscent of a youth hostel from the 90s, but the rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The rooftop bar was staffed with friendly staff and that consoled some of the limitations. Enjoying the view in the sunshine and cool drinks and having relaxing days, that was also possible despite Corona.
Cozy location with great views. Staff was friendly and competent. Highly recommended for a stay in the area!
Fun!
Brilliant place if you want a quick get away and some gorgeous autumn views. The forest at this time of year looks magical. The food was awesome new chef and new management. The accommodations where pleasant. We could book our own personal cinema for the evening so quite fun. The town near the hotel is very scenic and traditional. I can imagine the whole thing looking beautiful in the snow. Will definitely be back and looking forward to the renovations. Friendly and welcoming staff, Thankyou!
Nice personnel, good food. The hotel is under the new management.

Ohne night getaway. Turned out quite nice! We liked the restaurant and breakfast buffet. The view and restaurant food were the highlights! The room was 70/80s style but clean and cosy.
Everything is good
Simpel and fine hotel with a great view, but the food is not so great.
